There are varying degrees of reputation management, it’s most commonly known when a business or person is dealing with negative reviews and negative articles that appear in the search results. This can really hurt a business, especially when the information isn’t true, or is exaggerated – or even created by a competitor with the intention of hurting a brands online presence and reputation.
Monitoring is a great way to be proactive and diffuse it before it becomes an awful situation.

Setting up Google Alerts is one effective tool to monitor what is being said about one’s business. Using the right keywords can also help identify if content is being copied/scraped somewhere.
